What the function of these mysterious vortices of energy is; how they’re embodied and what affect they have on us?

And if so, what the various practices to reach those heights are?

In this course you’ll have the unique opportunity to learn from the original teachings of the chakras going back to around 600CE when it was all about prana (energy).
Simply put, Yogis would practice visualising spinning vortices (chakras) of energy in specific spaces in the body.
This was often accompanied with mantra, elements such as metal and air, and pranayama.
The philosophy of the chakras has been interpreted and modified by differing schools over the centuries.
These days people are often mistakenly lead to believe the new age or western occultism interpretation of the chakras, where an individual’s psychology are emphasised, as the original, “ancient” system.
This course will bring you clarity on different interpretations of the chakras.
You’ll learn a little about the history of the chakras and I’ll lead you through practices I’ve found beneficial from different teachings.
THIS IS NOT A DRY ACADEMIC COURSE
You’ll be learning through your body, your imagination, experience and enthusiasm!
This is about
- Great pose sequences to strengthen and open every fibre of your being
- Simple, classical meditations to guide your mental and spiritual spotlight
- Pranayama paired with specific chakras
- Visualisations on Prana to further embody the teachings
- Understanding how elements were originally placed on chakras
All this with the chakras shining bright and guiding you along the way.
There will also be beautiful poems, ancient to modern quotes from the wise and relatable stories from me!
-This course is made up of seven, 75 minute classes every Thursday.
-Each class starts at 12pm UK time.
-Each class is easy to join with the same link each time. You’ll be given the link (and then reminded of it a day before class!) as soon as you register.
-Everything will be recorded and each class will be added on the same day as class to a dedicated webpage you will have the password to.
-We start on May 12th and end June 23rd
