Thank you all so much for coming to the sequencing masterclass and for all your great questions and helpful-to-all comments.
A warm welcome to those of you watching the recording!
The 2 Yoga reference books I talk about in the class are Light on Yoga by BKS Iyengar and The Practice Manuel by Darren Rhodes.
If you’re interested, my lesson plan is here.
My apologies for the messiness, I hadn’t planned on showing it to you 😃 but now think it might be useful for you to see my process.
Notice I decided to not teach Anjaneyasana and Ardha Chandrasana. I hope that illustrates that although you make a detailed plan, it can be adapted. I was considering
- Time constraints.
- I decided these poses weren’t necessary. You, the class, already understood the base foot alignment so half moon wasn’t needed.
- Notice as you teach how your students are managing: they’re energy levels, current range of motion, how they’re taking on your instructions, do you need to adapt?
Also UHP = Uttitha Hasta P (the focus pose) and AMS= Adho Mukha Svanasana (downward facing dog) Vira 2 = Warrior 2
Please feel free to ask me any questions (non too small or too silly, really!) about the masterclass or my other offerings by messaging me on Instagram at Sarah B Yoga or email me at info@sarahbyoga.net
